Halloween (or Reformation Day, as Brian would rather call it)

These are from a party at our local preschool playgroup and from Trick or Treating.  Enjoy!

First, pumpkin-carving.  Or rather, pumpkin-carving-supervision.

Gannon’s got a big, leafy body.

Listen to the pumpkin. Love the pumpkin. Be the pumpkin.

This is his “I’m a big kid standing on hay” pose.  We were at a farm stand choosing our pumpkins, since I never got around to going to the orchard to have them pick one.  I am a slacker.

Acadia wants me to look at her.  Can you tell?  Gannon wants to stand up on the tippity top of the bales.  That would have been bad.

There was this big inflated turkey thing and the kids liked it.  So of course we took a picture.  And burned out the children’s retinas with the blazing sunlight as well.  But you know, with their genes they were going to need glasses sooner or later anyway.

Gannon was a squire (not a knight, a SQUIRE.) and he happily gave visiting kids candy.  Even when we ran out of candy in the big red bowl, he handed them candy from his own treat bucket.  I made sure he didn’t give out any of the good stuff, like chocolate…just popcorn balls and pretzels.  I’m always looking out for his interests.  You know.

Cheerleader, Darth Vader, Dog, and Squire.  Go forth and bring back much candy!

My blog. Herein read entries related to who and what is important to me. Feel free to leave comments. I feel free to delete them if I don't like them. So there. By reading about my life, readers should expect to begin to see their own lives as increasingly more organized and sophisticated, their homes cleaner and neater.

Why This Blog?

Well, mostly this is for my family to see pictures and read anecdotes about the kids. It's also a venue for telling the story of my struggles and victories in my life as a Christian, a wife, a mother, and a teacher. Occasionally I toss in some weird or touching item that I've found.

What’s Christianity All About?

The Gospel is the news that Jesus Christ, the Righteous One, died for our sins and rose again, eternally triumphant over all his enemies, so that there is now no condemnation for those who believe, but only everlasting joy. [as said by John Piper]
