Spring Has Sprung

Lately, in this wonderfully warm and seemingly overdue weather,

Acadia in the sandbox

we’ve been outside a lot. Playing in the sandbox,

blowing bubbles with Noah, riding bikes,

Acadia by the window

visiting a nature center with some friends,

Tree Lesson

and going to birthday parties.

Acadia by the window 2

Among other things. We even skipped school because it was in the UPPER EIGHTIES yesterday. It’s also been very windy lately. I woke up to find the front door as wide open as it could possibly be. Thankfully the screen door was locked…not that it would have been a really big deal around here anyway, but still.

Also, notice that Acadia needs a haircut. I actually tried to cut it last night, and I will try to get a picture of her new ‘do and post it for you. The issue with her hair is that it all goes forward from two little swirls on the back of her head. I hesitate to cut bangs for fear of the whole-head-is-a-bang sort of look. Combine that with the fact that she will wear stuff in her hair for approximately 4.6 minutes at a time, and you’ve got a recipe for a mophead (that’s mop-head, not moe-feed….maybe I should write it MopHead).

My blog. Herein read entries related to who and what is important to me. Feel free to leave comments. I feel free to delete them if I don't like them. So there. By reading about my life, readers should expect to begin to see their own lives as increasingly more organized and sophisticated, their homes cleaner and neater.

Why This Blog?

Well, mostly this is for my family to see pictures and read anecdotes about the kids. It's also a venue for telling the story of my struggles and victories in my life as a Christian, a wife, a mother, and a teacher. Occasionally I toss in some weird or touching item that I've found.

What’s Christianity All About?

The Gospel is the news that Jesus Christ, the Righteous One, died for our sins and rose again, eternally triumphant over all his enemies, so that there is now no condemnation for those who believe, but only everlasting joy. [as said by John Piper]
