For Brian

It’s funny how you can go into a thing pretty much oblivious, and by the grace of God have it turn out so well.

It’s been 10 years since the union of Mr. and Mrs. Brian S. Dellinger was produced by leaving and cleaving. At that time we were in our early 20’s, in college, in debt, and generally clueless. Our third-floor walk-up (in view of the nuclear power plant) housed us nicely, along with our second-hand furniture and our second-hand cat. Now we’re in our early 30’s, in the midst of parenthood with a mortgage and in possession of a few clues. As is probably typical, the few things we do know are mostly about the things we’ve been through already, and not the ones we’re going through now or will experience tomorrow. Life is always a mysterious adventure. Imagine the curse of knowing the future.

The cliche cannot be avoided here, because it’s the truth and I’m not poetic enough right now to say it any other way:

I love you, Brian, more now than I did then. I would marry you again in a second. Thank you for being my godly husband and for helping me be the woman God intended. I thank God for you. Our marriage has produced some good things. I am looking forward to the future with excitement and anticipation. 🙂

Happy Anniversary!! I can’t believe it’s been 10 years already. It think I might still have my jingle bell around here somewhere… and course we can’t forget a certain someone in her red sweater dress. Ha! 😉

My blog. Herein read entries related to who and what is important to me. Feel free to leave comments. I feel free to delete them if I don't like them. So there. By reading about my life, readers should expect to begin to see their own lives as increasingly more organized and sophisticated, their homes cleaner and neater.

Why This Blog?

Well, mostly this is for my family to see pictures and read anecdotes about the kids. It's also a venue for telling the story of my struggles and victories in my life as a Christian, a wife, a mother, and a teacher. Occasionally I toss in some weird or touching item that I've found.

What’s Christianity All About?

The Gospel is the news that Jesus Christ, the Righteous One, died for our sins and rose again, eternally triumphant over all his enemies, so that there is now no condemnation for those who believe, but only everlasting joy. [as said by John Piper]
