Easter Pictures

Little sister and big brother are all ready to hunt for Easter eggs at the Rec Center.

Gannon looks for an orange egg under a cone in the gym.
Acadia opens up her eggs and collects her candy.
Gannon eats some of his candy.
The other Easter-type traditions I wanted to do with my family were largely left out this year, due to the fact that I am in the midst of a cold that is really getting me down. I had to tell myself over and over again that Easter is not supposed to be about me getting exhausted and stressed-out, but rather it’s about the celebration of the new life we have in Christ. Because of His death and resurrection, I can be made right with God and have an eternal relationship with Him. And that does not necessitate the making of cookies or the coloring of eggs.
We spent Easter serving in church and hanging out with some good friends, who I am sure will be reading my blog more often now. Right, guys?

Resurrection Cookies is a recipe that incorporates biblical instruction and hands-on learning. This household may give it a try, after the antibiotics kick in.
